I’ve been travelling for 12 months and I can honestly say this place is the best hostel I have stayed in. The second you walk through the door you feel like you’re at home, the staff treat you as if you’re a long lost cousin they haven’t seen in a million years, and you fall in love with the place straight away. Great common room and kitchen, nice and clean hot showers, and staff that will always help you with a smile and keep you entertained. You feel as if you’re hanging out with a bunch of your best mates, you won’t want to leave, in fact I can’t recall meeting anyone there who DIDN’T extend their stay…

A hostel can not be better than Hedonist! Everything was marvelous without exception. That’s the place to stay in Belgrade.

I’ve stayed at dozens of hostels over the years but the Hedonist is my favourite hostel by far! I originally booked 4 nights and ended up staying 8 because I couldn’t leave. Every single one of the staff were amazing – Super friendly, fun and helpful. If you’re travelling alone you won’t have any problems with making new friends as there is always someone outside or in the common room/kitchen. The beds were comfy, lockers were big, each bed got 2 power outlets.. the hostel was always clean! Belgrade was definitely the highlight of my trip and for the most part it was because of this hostel. Loved it!

Simply the best hostel I have every stayed at. Staff and guests were amazing. The outside court yard is a great place to meet likeminded travellers.

Quite a lovely place to stay in Belgrade. The staff are the best I have encountered at any hostel; friendly, energetic, fun, and beyond helpful – they really make the place shine. The beds are spacious, with ample locker space. A pleasant outdoor area leads to a common room well-suited to meeting fellow travelers over a few beers. Bonuses include: equipped kitchen & video game room. Located in a prime area, this hostel is a Belgrade gem, and strongly recommend. 10/10 would stay again.

One of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in (I have stayed in hostels in over 50 countries), everyone was so friendly & helpful, helped us out with a number of requests & sorted out a brilliant BBQ, if you’re in Belgrade then stay here.

The Hedonist hostel is everything a hostel should be, and more. The staff is most welcoming, fun, tolerant, and knowledgeable. Having spent a while in Belgrade, I had a chance to stay in several hostels, and this one was by far the best. If you’re reading this, trying to decide if this is the place for you, stop, trust the reviews, and go for it, it is impossible to be disappointed here (unless of course you prefer a boring place and want to miss out on free crepes and rakia! ;)

The staff had personality! The place had personality! I met great people.

On two separate six month trips, I have been to a lot of different hostels. Some bad, some good, some very good. None of them as good as this one! Clean, tidy rooms, perfect location and great service. Manager Mica is a great guy who looks out for his guests and is not shy of showing you around town if you ask (this was in June 2011, I can imagine the workload has doubled by now). Staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Spending the night sipping beer in the cosy garden in the company of fellow travelers and the staff will be one of the highlights of your stay in Belgrade!

There is not enough space to explain how awesome this hostel was. This was, by far, the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Katarina, Anja, Marjan and the rest of the crew are some of the most friendly, helpful, and downright amazing people I have ever met – nothing is a hassle and they will go out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Location is brilliant, the courtyard is beautiful, atmosphere amazing and there are so many extras I can’t begin to list them. Thanks guys, I’ll be back.

This is hands down the absolute nicest hostel I have ever stayed at. Not only does your VERY reasonably priced stay include every commodity you can think of, but the hostel is also conveniently located near the city center. The garden is beautiful, the bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas are well maintained and up to date. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. They encourage questions and have an abundance of recommendations. I would not hesitate to stay here.

I have stayed in dozens of great hostels, but this is still the best one I have stayed in! Rooms are large and spacious, with comfy beds. They have a great courtyard garden, perfect for cooling down in after a long day in Belgrade. The staff are the best I have encountered, willing to do anything you want off them, and often came out with us and showed us the local places to go. Quite often I would stay at a hostel if I return to a city, but I may return to Belgrade just to stay at the hostel!

Simply a fantastic hostel. Staff are really outstanding — super-friendly, never mind answering yet another question about anything. The hostel has a great layout making for easy mingling with other travelers and creating a good atmosphere — highlight of course is the courtyard with music and projector, also kitchen and inside TV room are good spots for hanging out. I ended up staying a couple of nights longer than expected. Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely fantastic and full of positive vibes, first of all because of incredibly friendly, helpful and professional staff :-) I can recommend it to every and any backpacker looking for a cosy, comfortable, well-equipped and centrally located hostel and I’m absolutely going to come back here during my next trip :-)

This place is everything you could want from your hostel and so much more. The owner is a really nice guy and has done a wonderful job with this hostel. The garden and kitchen/lounge room are great for hanging out with other people from the hostel. The bathrooms and rooms were spotless and the beds were super comfortable! The dorm I stayed in was really spacious too. The location is perfect and the thing which really makes this hostel stand out is the staff. They know all the best places to eat and drink. It’s the only place I would stay on my next visit to Belgrade! :-)

The staff is very friendly and helps you all the time. The treatment is individual, what made me feel better cause I’m travelling alone and not many people take care of us like they did.

I stayed at Hedonist halfway through a 3 month trip around Europe. It was by far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. It oozes character and has all of the amenities that you need but by far the best aspect is the staff. They are friendly and cheerful and go out of their way to help you, and unlike some other hostels it doesn’t feel forced. Add to that the little extras that they throw in and you have got a hostel which just cannot be beaten. I can’t wait to visit again!

We have been in many hostels around Europe, and we can say with joy that Hedonist is the best hostel ever. The house is awesome, every detail is handled with the heart (please enjoy the great patio) and without doubt the staff is the best!!! Tnxs for teaching us how to enjoy Beograd in all its aspects. We will definitely come back. Choose Hedonist, you wont regret…

If Hedonist Hostel was a person in real life, I would marry it, such is my affection towards this amazing place. If I was not allowed to marry the hostel itself, I would settle for any one of the beautiful girls that works behind reception. Fantastic hostel, if you don’t visit this place while in Belgrade then you’ve ruined your life.

I booked 1 night at Hedonist Hostel but ended staying a week. It is very clean, comfortable and the staff are fantastic and will help with anything.  The outside seating area is a great place to relax and meet your fellow travellers during the day. At night it becomes a great place for a beer or six before heading out in Belgrade. Having spent a week here I really cannot find a single thing wrong about this place. It is 2 minutes walk from the main street, ten minutes walk from the picturesque fort and half an hour from the train station. If you are looking to stay in Belgrade look no further. I spent the best week of my entire trip here! I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Belgrade!
